A delightful recipe for making fluffy and sweet cinnamon sugar donuts using an air fryer.
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour: 2 cups (240 g)
- Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
- Granulated sugar: 3/4 cup (150 g), divided
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Milk: 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- Eggs: 2 large
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Melted butter: 1/4 cup (60 g)
- Pinch of salt: Just a pinch!
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
- Fill a lightly greased donut mold about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook the donuts for 5-7 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the remaining sugar with cinnamon for the coating.
- Once the donuts are cooked, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.
Notes
- Ensure to preheat the air fryer for best results.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the donuts fluffy.
- Let the donuts cool slightly on a cooling rack before coating.
