Description

Delicious and chewy coconut macaroons made in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the coconut mixture.
  5. Use a spoon to scoop the mixture and form small mounds.
  6. Place the mounds in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. If using, melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the macaroons after cooling.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
  • For a tropical twist, add a few drops of almond extract.
