Ingredients

- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan.
- Add cumin, fennel, and fenugreek seeds. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add onions and green chilies. Cook until onions are golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover and cook until chicken is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spices to taste.
- Serve with rice or naan.
- For extra tang, add lemon juice before serving.
