Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan.
  2. Add cumin, fennel, and fenugreek seeds. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add onions and green chilies. Cook until onions are golden.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
  6. Add coriander powder, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Cover and cook until chicken is tender.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

  • Adjust spices to taste.
  • Serve with rice or naan.
  • For extra tang, add lemon juice before serving.
