Ingredients

- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 large onions, finely sliced
- 4 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup oil
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Mix in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cook for a few minutes.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until they turn white.
- Stir in tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Add water as needed, cover, and simmer until chicken is tender.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

- Serve with rice or naan.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- You can marinate the chicken for better flavor.
