- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Add olive oil to the skillet.
- Place chicken thighs skin side down in the skillet.
- Cook for 7-10 minutes until skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 7-10 minutes until fully cooked.
- Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Use bone-in chicken for more flavor.
- Cooking time may vary based on thickness of chicken.
- Letting the chicken rest helps retain juices.
