Description

This recipe makes crispy and flavorful falafel using an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Pulse until mixture is coarse but holds together.
  3. Add flour and pulse to combine.
  4. Form small balls or patties from the mixture.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Spray the falafel with olive oil spray.
  7. Place falafel in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite sauce.

  • Soak chickpeas overnight for better texture.
  • Adjust spices according to your preference.
