- 2 chicken fillets, boneless and skinless
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 pitas
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Add chicken fillets and coat them well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- While the chicken cooks, mix yogurt, dill, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
- Remove chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice into strips.
- Warm pitas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Assemble pitas by placing lettuce, chicken strips, and tomato inside.
- Drizzle dill yogurt sauce over the contents of the pita.
Notes
- Adjust garlic according to your taste.
- For a spicier kick, add some hot sauce to the yogurt sauce.
- Serve with extra dill yogurt sauce on the side.
