Ingredients

  • 2 chicken fillets, boneless and skinless
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 pitas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Add chicken fillets and coat them well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  4. While the chicken cooks, mix yogurt, dill, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
  5. Remove chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice into strips.
  6. Warm pitas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  7. Assemble pitas by placing lettuce, chicken strips, and tomato inside.
  8. Drizzle dill yogurt sauce over the contents of the pita.
