Description
A tasty dish made with spiced chicken served in pita bread with fresh toppings.
Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, combine chicken, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well to coat the chicken.
- Grill chicken for 5-7 minutes or until fully cooked.
- Warm pita bread on the grill for 1 minute.
- Assemble the gyro by placing grilled chicken in pita.
- Add lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and tzatziki sauce.
- Wrap and serve immediately.
Notes
- Marinate chicken for 1 hour for better flavor.
- Substitute chicken with lamb or beef if preferred.
- Serve with side of fries for a complete meal.
