Description

Crispy and flavorful katsu chicken served with a savory sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Ton katsu sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Flatten the chicken fillets to even thickness.
  2. Season flour with salt and pepper.
  3. Coat chicken in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Slice and serve with tonkatsu sauce.

  • Serve with steamed rice and shredded cabbage.
