Description
A delicious pecan upside down cake with caramelized pecans.
Ingredients

- 1 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a round cake pan and sprinkle brown sugar evenly over it.
- Arrange pecans on top of the brown sugar.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour batter over the pecans in the pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a plate.
Notes
- Serve warm for best flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be topped with whipped cream.
