Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef chuck steak
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Season the steak with salt and pepper.
- Place the steak in the slow cooker.
- Add onion, mushrooms, garlic, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until steak is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Stir the cornstarch mixture into the slow cooker about 30 minutes before serving to thicken the gravy.
- Serve the steak with gravy over mashed potatoes or rice.
